Hello there!

My name is Dr. Cierra Edwards. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of the Mood & Anxiety Disorders (MAD) Clinic of Richmond. I have experience providing outpatient psychological services in hospital, community mental health, and private practice settings.

My clinical practice focuses on helping people who struggle with obsessive-compulsive thinking and behaviors, as well as anxiety and challenging mood states. My clinical areas of interest have been influenced by growing up in the rural Appalachian coalfields and seeing how people with challenging mental health symptoms would go without professional care.

I saw firsthand that many people went uncared for due to having reduced or no access to providers, the stigmatization of mental health treatment, and financial barriers. This inspired me to create the MAD Clinic of Richmond, a private practice that provides high-quality mental health services to underserved and rural communities.
